What's new? A new year, a new school and a new life? Haha.
How's your new year countdown? Mine is great. At least it's not one of those that really bore me to death.
I still remembered that in year 2004, i was in orchard with sally. How naive of me to think that Orchard is like those television shows. All the screaming only. And what we got were just getting pushed around by mostly bangalas that we see almost everywhere. I can't remember if any of us got molested but they are sticking damn close to us. And when i mean damn close. I mean you can feel their body against yours. We got disgusted by them and hence, bought sprays to spray at these perverts just like we are spraying insects with insecticides. It was quite uneventful. What's worst? We don't have any guy friends around and i realised that most people like to attack a group of girls. Makes me pissed off.
End result? Our hair stucked with all different kinds of ribbons, foam and we have to proceed to this Kbox to seek shelter and wash our sticky hair and body. Fun? Fuck you then. I think those bangalas get turn on with girls screaming. So the best thing is stay calm and kick them at their groin and make sure that they can't have father's day again. Haha.
Having this serve as a reminder not to go to Orchard road at around 11 plus to 1 plus, i went to Orchard at around 6pm. We went to buy tickets for the movie,"A Chinese Tall Story". Of course, to spend our time in case we have nothing to do later, we bought the midnight show which is staring at 2.00am. How fun! My first midnight movie. Woohoo!
Then, we make sure that there is no spraying around the grounds yet at 7.00pm. I went to this japanese fastfood restaurant. I'm sorry I can't remember the name and i bought kbi tampura ramen while my friend got beef ramen. It was delicious. I assure you that it would make your mouth water just looking at it. But I didn't bring my cam along and only my friend did. So I didn't take any photos of it. Don't sad alright? Photos are coming up.
Camped at centre point for a while. Because my friend heard that their friends wanna come and join us also? But in the end don't have. -___-"
Nice right? Obviously. Must see who is the photographer what!
Realising that time was drewing near to 11 plus, we exited Orchard and took the train to harbourfront. Why harbourfront? To see the spectacular fireworks of course.
We even walked to the bridge that connects our beautiful island to Sentosa. The view was nice as expected. The starry night, calm seawaters, dim light and occasional sounds of splashing water make it a good spot for many couples to frequent there. And we even have to pay for the Sentosa entry fee when we didn't even enter Sentosa. But well. The fireworks are worth for it.
Eeeeeek. Why turn out like that? Hmm. Nevermind. Must be the camera sucks. But the scenery is really nice as you can see. ^^
We waited for like 15 minutes. And then we saw some lighting at the Harbourfront shopping centre there. However, the fireworks are so low and can't be seen at the bridge there. So we are like,"Fuck. How come like that?!" And we even considered running back to the distance there. Thinking more logically, i stopped in my tracks and say,"Can't be so low one. Sure can see one. Just wait a while longer."
Patience.
Indeed, the first fireworks make their way up the sky. I even had a photo of that!
This is the starting of the fireworks.. =) the sky was still clear then.
Pretty aren't they?
Envy of me? aww. Too bad. It was really REALLY nice. We captured lots of videos too. I wonder photobucket can host video too. xD
And if I can, you all are in for a treat.
You may think that that's the end of my day programme. But no! Do you still remember about the movie? Haha. The fireworks ended for about 12:18am. So we hurried back to the harbourfront mrt and managed to catch the last train. We changed the line towards Orchard. By then, huge group of police forces had gathered around Orchard mrt to block the people from entering it already. Relieved, we came out of Orchard mrt unscathed, we immediated turned right without hesitating. After a long walking and horrendous spraying, we fished out our own snow sprays and start spraying at those who sprayed us back in revenge. It wasn't as bad. But quite bad. Cuz our desination is to lido. And i realised we reached Cine leisure. So we have been travelling in the wrong direction. Hur hur. Quickly. We hid behind some police officers for shelter as we doubt anyone would dare to spray at them. We reached lido safely and went to the washroom to wash up. I hate the ribbons. They keep sticking on my hair sturbornly even after I threatened to pull my hair out of my skull. Haha. That's how bad it is. But it was fun spraying at those bangalas who tried to harrass the young girls. Gross.
After buying popcorn and drink. I watched 1 hr 50 min of the movie. Almost fell asleep. Not because the movie is boring but is that I'm really tired. Dead tired. Well, the movie was funny. Hmm, more lame actually. Charmine is pretty. =)
When we exited the cinema, the spraying had stopped. OF course lar! 4.00am le eh! If still spray, I would assure you I would stuff durians into their assholes.
The weather was quite cold at that time and my instincts are right. It started raining after like 1 hour. What did we do in that 1 hour? ahA! we walked from Orchard ---> somerset ---> dobty ghout ---> cityhall..
And I'm sure the soles of my feet hurts afterwards. The mrt start at around 6.00pm. It was not so bad. Cuz. I'm in the FIRST train in the new year followed by the FIRST bus. This year will really be a good year. Haha.
Photobucket is still hosting the video. Oh wells. If it succeeds, I would put it in my next entry.
Till then, HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! :) :) :)
