I'm finally back. So happy and relieved.
4 days and 3 nights passed so slow yet so fast. I thought that LTC will be hard but not that hard. I was proven wrong. Haha.
Day 1
I took taxi to school cos I know I won't be able to make it if I take bus. So I reached like 30 minutes before the assembly time. Then, we went to pulua ubin. They taught us how to manage first aid and also hornet attack/wild boar attack. Hornet attack requires one to lie backfaced and cover the neck while wild boar attack requires another to run zig-zag.
After that, we went for our land expedition from 12pm to 3am. Land expedition includes carrying our bag pack and hike from one check point to the other to search for clues. There's a total of 25 checkpoints but they are all scattered all around the island. It was really tedious man. I reckon that we must have walked more than a million steps that day. For lunch and dinner, we had dry rations - bread, biscuits, oranges and apples.
We also had to continue walking at night. My torch died soon after. So Yan Lin (my parnter) walked with me without torch and had to depend on the torch the front ppl. provide. Quite creepy I think. Cos got lots of dogs and we passed by the cemetry for like 3-4 times. LOL.
However, my shoulder ache like siao. Even when I put a shirt over to act like a cover from the bag, it still hurts. =(
But I'm quite proud of my group man. Cos we got about 20 stations out of 25 stations which is superb la.
We fell asleep soon after we are allowed to. And I don't even bother whether I have bathed or washed up already. We just slept.
The night was super cold and as I was the one who is supposed to guard the first aid kit, I hugged it while I sleep cos I scared the seniors will steal it while I'm asleep. I woke up twice and found myself shivering. So I zip my jacket up all the way and nudged close to Yan Lin. LOL.
Day 2
My birthday! Hahaha. We kayaked on my birthday at Changi Sea sports club. I think I had grown out of my birthday already. Cos I don't really feel that it's something special on that day although the whole of odac people sang me a birthday song. So nice of them. =D
And I found out that Hakim in my group shared the same birthday as me. So coincidental man and we kayaked together too.
It was super hard lar cos my shoulder hurts everytime I paddle. =(
So we are like in the middle or one of the last of the group. Nevertheless, it was fun. We kayaked in the rain and against the current! Woots. And we are looking forward to dinner cos at last we are going to have maggie mee instead of the Kon Won biscuit. Hahahaha. Although I quite like the chocolate flavoured one.
Fancy having biscuits and maggie mee on my birthday. But nevermind lar, it's a memorable one. Heehee.
We also pitched our tents and were told to discuss about the camp fire that is supposed to be on the next day. What's more, we are the ones who have to organise it from the start to the end. Haha. Each group will also have to come up with a skid.
We also played the structures that they built for staminal. I completed 2.5 stations. 2 stations which are the giant ladder and the rope thingy. In order to complete the giant ladder, there will be 2 people each time and the 2 people are supposed to work together to get up the ladder. I pitied Hidayat cos I had to step on him in order to get up. Cos Chuan Ting insisted that I'm fat. Hahaha. But we both finished it in less than 10 minutes. I think it's fantastic!
Then the rope thingy, let me show you a picture. Cos there's a saying that a picture tells a thousand words right?

Then I completed 0.5 cos one of the structure, I don't dare to jump and when I jumped, I didn't reached the ladder. :(
But I did the flying fox. It was like so damn fun. I want to do it again. Damn song man. =D
And then we slept in the tents. So cool eh? Oh yeah, we didn't really pitched the tent ourselves. Cos our tent got alot of missing parts. So we can't pitch it properly. The guys had to give up one of their tents to us. Feel so guilty man. But at least they are gentlemanly. :)) I slept the entire way through. Shiok man.
Day 3
We had Physical Training(PT) in the morning. Did one round of circuit training and ran 1 round. Super tiring. Especially when we didn't have our breakfast.
We were taught pioneering skills like tying two sticks together. Then, we had to make our very own structures. We also have to think of what to build.
After some thoughts, we came up with the idea of a swing. But the group beside us have the same idea. LOL man.
But our knots are really really really really really hard to untie man. Especially after the rain. Even the president can't untie it. =X
So we are just instructed to put the sticks back with the ropes still on. Phew.
Next, we had our wet games. Actually, it's not just wet. It's dirty and damn disgusting. Haha.
Our first station is called spider web. We had to pass the person through the ropes. Then, the seniors will attack us with bombs that contained soya sauce, chilli, flour and dunno whatever stuff they put in. =.="
Damn disgusting man. Hahaha!
Second station is called something slope. Can't remember what it is. But it was wayyyyyyyyy fun. They set up some cavas sheet on a slope. Then, we are supposed to reach the top. But they poured soapy water with soya sauce? Haha. We tried stacking up to reach the top but failed. We almost make it. But awww.. As I'm one of those on top, they would pour the soapy water on me. They also poured flowers down den say,"happy belated birthday!" -___-" Damn funny siah.
Worse still, sometimes when I slide down, I would step on mimosa thorns. Oh yeah, you have guessed it. We were bare footed cos we don't want to dirty our shoes. Haha. Then, we are allowed to slide down from the top with any position we can think of. We did the surfing type but halfway, we would fall down on our butt. Hah. We also did toot-toot train and link hands together to slide down. Super fun I would say.
Third station is the drain. I was -___-" when I heard that we had to crawl the drain. I wasn't even sure whether I can go through or not and we are supposed to protect a tomato. Cannot smash it. One by one, we went into the drain. There's particles on the sides of the drains. Damn painful siah. My legs got cut up a little. And they say this would be the worst 50m we ever experience which I find it so damn true. Not because of the drain. But because we are forced to answer their questions. I dunnoe why they only keep asking Yan Lin and me. Maybe is because I can only hear what they ask Yan Lin and myself. Hahaha! Then, at the first few interval(cos there's alot of drains), I was forced to pose for the camera. I think will come out awful. LOL.
They asked Yan Lin about who is the prettiest among them and when she answered one of them, they would say,"Then blah blah not pretty is it?" Wah seh man. So difficult to answer.
There was a lag in the middle. So I seized the opportunity and ciao. I travelled quite a few distance then was asked to go back to where I was originally from. T-T Then I was asked a question.
Heng my question was,"Who do you think is the prettiest in J1s?" Guessed what I said,"MYSELF!" Damn LOL lar. Cos I know if I don't say that, they would ask,"Den you think you pretty not?" Hahahaha! Their response was,"Eeeeee.. Buey Huei Buai!!!" Baahahaha.
We continued travelling.(YES. It's that long.) When we are nearing the ending, they called for the fourth girl (which is me) to sing the odac call. -____-"
Haha. So no choice. I shouted the odac call. I heard later from my leader, Eng Yong that the people outside are laughing cos it is super loud and then got alot of echo. -___-"
But I like! Quan Zun, another member of the group is super funny man! You know what he did? In order to protect the tomato, he put it inside his underwear. Eeeewww! Gross man. But we laughed like siao.
Last but not least, we reached the last station. The person in charged asked for a volunteer. So I happily volunteered. And I'm LUCKY cos I don't have to sit on tomato/chilli/mud bomb. Hahahaha. Then, we had to lie flat on the mud plain and crawl our way through while searching for coins. =/
But it's fun. I enjoyed the station games best.
AND WE HAVE PACKED FOOD. WE HAVE PACKED FOOD!!! Like finally? So happy man. That I even gobbled up the veges I won't usually eat.
Then, we changed to our LTC t-shirt and went for the campfire. I don't really enjoy the campfire but I know everyone put their best effort in. There are super funny guys. Really pengz man! Kudos to them. Then we were off to bed! =)
Day 4
We had PT again in the morning. But this time, we ran 4 rounds instead of 1 and did 1 round of circuit training. It is fun cos we are shouting the odac call while running so it isn't that tiring.
We had our leadership test which is paperwork. Had to write out our qualities and blah. Then, the survival test. And we got a chance to interact with other group members to build a bridge using newspapers and masking tape. I like group 2! We are like super get along and we got fantastic ideas. We built a super nice bridge. Lol.
Had some prize giving stuffs and the handing over to the next president. They said it is the next president but actually, it is the xia jian president. Damn LOL. And jimmy got the role. He was humped there for 20 or issit 30 times on the pillar. Must have hurt like siao.
The camp finally ended. We asked our leaders whether they wanna go for dinner together and some guys from Dinos. Okay. I don't know how to spell their group name. They are Aloysis and Daniel and they are super funny. Cos they can act gay super well. Hahaha.
Overall, I LOVE LTC 2006. I LOVE ODAC CALL TOO.
