I finally get to stay in MBS hotel, thanks to Queenie gf! Her parents' booked the room but in the end, they let us have it for the entire night. :) A very very very excited Queenie, much more excited than me for sure. We camwhored around the hotel while waiting for Peggy to arrive.
Simply love her. Even though I only knew her last year, but I feel that we clicked very well, can talk alot and non-stop somemore. She is super fun to be with! I love my girlfriends.
Super hard to take these shots. Self-timer + make sure nobody incoming blocks our view. And the waters......
even though I know it is going to be awkwardddd. Oh wells. Dawn brought a Japan snack, which has heart shapes and round shapes. Tasted abit like toasted bread. It is damn naiseeee. I kept biting the biscuit whenever we retake the photo. Which explains why mine is not a full heart shape. Lolololol.
Yeah yeah, this entry is like dated 2 months ago you say. X'mas is like, 25th December, today is 10th Feb, so it is still like 1 month plus only mahhhh. One thing though, don't change your currency here. Cos' the rates seriously quite sucky one. Patrik exchanged S$1 for R.p 6500? Where outside rate now is S$1 for R.p 6960!! But lucky only exchanged S$50 only. Ended up never really use cos Batam is like mini Singapore, can use SGD to pay. Patrik booked with Batamfast for tix this time, I think there is another company called Penguin something, which I heard is better cos the ship is nicer or whatsoever! Nevermind luh, next time take the penguin one lor. It is actually the 2nd time I go to Batam, first time is only day trip! Go there for seafood only and this time... is the 1st time we travelled alone together. ♥ Guessed we walked around cos.... there is this inflexible rule that we can only check in the resort at 2pm?? And it is indo time, which is 1 hour lagging behind SG timing. Meaning we have to wait like 3 plus hours to check in. Abit sian luh, but then it allowed us to go for sight seening and explore the entire resort! We checked out the watersports center as well. Kinda cheap for some watersports only. Got hungry so we settled for their cafe. And played banana boat, only S$8 for 20 minutes? But I think is longer than 20 minutes lor, cos they keep trying to dunk us with many failed attempts cos I keep refusing to fall into the water. Like really going low at times, almost flunked out of the boat but just refusing to let go. Patrik finally relented and he was totally drenched. I laughed and he insisted that he wanted the people to feel better that's why he just let go, so that they can end it and yada yada. Slacked at the pool and taught Patrik how to swim. He doesn't know how to exchange breaths under water, think he is getting better at it tho! Finally, we got our room! Super duper pleased please. Just scroll down and see!!!! . . . .. .. .. ... #18 Showing two super big beds that they say are singles. But we think otherwise, it is more like, bigger than super single but smaller than queen size. And yes luh, the Actually I was seen being so vain cos I was prepping for the night dinner. Was a compulsory one and I wanna dress nice nice luh, since I got so many formal dresses I had yet to wear, cos no occasion. Here are some more self obsessed shots: They hired singers to sing christmas carols throughout our course of dinner. Really can feel the frosty season, except that it could have been more realisticly done if snow started to fall. And then it was the next day already. Wanted to wake up for sunrise one but we woke up 1 hour too early and it was still very dark and we decided that we were still very sleepy and we will prefer our beauty sleep to watching the super beautiful sunrise instead. Woke up again for the breakfast though, wide variety of food to choose from. We ate super alot again, to make it worth it so that we don't need to have lunch later. :X And then we ferried back to Singapore already. And and he gave me my x'mas gift. #56 Precious moments, Ariel the lil mermaid (Christmas' edition). I super duper love the lil mermaid!! Prettiest princess still. And that was how I spent my X'mas this year. What about YOURS? Hope you guys enjoyed your X'mas with your loved ones as well. xoxo, xia0xue
And I was so busy luh, rushing out all the FYP stuffs (although the effort is worth it at the very end) and all the endless exams and assignments that I felt very deprived of missing out opportunities to meet up with people I truly treasure. :)
I always think that SG is boring lor, it is so small!! And after spending like 99% of our time in SG, there is always this limitation as in, i.e where to go for dates, how to celebrate special occasions etc. I'm sure you girls also faced such problems decided what to do for special days like these lor!
Sometimes, I do think all these special occasions are all hyped up by the media, like how every girl who is in a relationship should get a bouquet of flowers on valentine's day, expect nice dinners and such. But the actual fact is, the girl (Okay, at least for me) don't need all these stupid flowers and gift one, I think valentine's day is best spent enjoying each other company and talking our hearts out. I will be happy with even just one stalk of rose actually and just spending this special day together. So don't need to spend so much $$ on flowers luh, they will wilt and rot afterall. Of course if buying such expensive flowers make you happy cos you will feel that he is willing to spend on you and you are worth it then go ahead. :D
Enough of procastinating, here I present you.... HOW I SPEND MY LAST X'MAS! Till date my favourite X'mas!!
I saw this deal online whereby it only costed $155 for 2D1N at Turi Beach Resort @ Batam, and it can be utilised on special days too! For 2 pax and we can go two times somemore. So of course, I grabbed the opportunity cos it is SO worth it? Even after weekend surcharge, it is only $180? Which is like $90 for 2D1N stay. You will know why later as to why I say it is so worth it cos it is not just a typical hotel room.
Ferry Tix was kinda expensive though, about $40 for a return trip. We booked the 11am ship! :O#1 Dolled up and we arrived at the terminal kinda early! Like 1 hour earlier so that we don't miss our ferry. Damn typical Singaporean kiasu-ism.
#2 And this is possibly the best photo I could have taken with pursed lips. Patrik says he likes cos looks very demure, which is a stark contrast of who I really am. LOL!
#3 Abeit excited for the boat ride, even though it is just 30 minutes away from Singapore! Like an offshore island only!!
#4 My Ferry pass. Must act chio with it.
#5 With my ah beng looking boyfriend! Hahahaahahhahaha.
#6 On board of the ferry finally!!!! So many old people lor, felt kinda out of place actually. LOL.
#7 The view, and the sea breeze is awesomeeeeee.
#9 Once we reached, got special service crews already ready to pick us up to our resort~!! They process our passport for us, process return ferry tix, and free transfers to the resort to the ferry terminal yada yada. Damn good service. :D
This pics is taken on the shuttle bus they provide FOC! #10 And we reached our destination. Checking out the swimming pools! Got two leh. Actually three but the other one is like for babies.
#11 Uniquely designed pool. And quite deep oso?!??! 2 metres!
#12 Got connecting bridge to go far far away till like the end of the sea liddat. Me likey!
#13 Patrik dear quite happy with the resort too. The waters still quite passable luh, at least is greenish-blue semi clear. Much better than SG opaque waters. Feel like I'm bashing SG but it is really the truth mah, the sacrifice of being a internetionally recognised port.
#14 Pic to show how far away this bridge stretches! And it is not the end of the bridge quite yet.
#15 We saw schools of fishes from above. Looks like the nasi lemak kinda, and very shiny and reflective, the small silver things in this pic are actually the fishes!!
#16 Mine. Ayam penyent. Abit dry but okay luh, I am not a fussy eater. I mean not really. :3 #17 I think he got nasi lemak, which he claimed was tastier than mine.
stupid vain person at the mirror portion is yours truly.#19 Super high attap house ceiling with fan, also got air con. So is like double dose of coldness. So it is like a whole attap house to ourselves!!! Which was why I mentioned that $90 is so worth it. Damn big lor, I think can fit 4 people to stay actually. :D
#20 I got this dress from lovebonito. I think it is very sweet and elegant leh, which is why I buy cos I will never be sweet and elegant but at least I can cheat to look like it. Hahahaha.
#22 Patrik making himself comfortable and watching TV cable programmes while waiting for me.
#26 Outlook of the much loved attap house. Is it me only or do you guys love the attap house also?? It makes me feel that I am really out of SG, and a new experience as well.
#27 The decorated outdoor buffet venue.
#28 Candlelight dinner?? With pretty rose petals.
#29 Very hungry couple awaiting for the buffet to start!
#30 Complimentary sparkling drink. I like it alotttt but only got one per person.
#32 Patrik sneaking a photo of me drinking the sparkling drink!
#33 After I was done with mine, I wanted to snatch his. But then he don't let. So bad hurrrr.
#34 Us at the table cos the other guests all haven't arrive yet!! And naturally we kapo-ed the best seats to view the stage since it is free seating. Lols. #35 Desserts! We ate so much, like linguine, turkey, log cake, pizza, roasted chicken and seafood but then I didn't really snap nice photos of them.
#36 We won something!! Couple game where you need to guess correctly who is your boyfriend/husband blindfolded. I felt through hand one. Hahahah. *proud*
#37 Complimentary drinks @ the pool bar. :D
#38 The second pool that I was talking about. The baby's pool is on top of this pool and is like a waterfall to this second pool. Like connected luh. Haha quite a cool concept, and they are very well maintained, no dead leaves and all. :D #39 Took a stroll hands in hands along the beach after dinner, was super full luh and got people fired fireworks from the other resort. Not as grand as the ones SG has during national day etc, but still very pretty nonetheless.
#40 Had moet while watchin the TV programmes, while cuddling together.
#42 I love scrambled eggs, would prefer it not so well cooked. Like abit runny kind, omg my favourite!!!
#43 First round actually. To taste test which one is naise.
#44 Patrik enjoying his breakfast. Haha!
#45 We still had some more champiagn left over and decided not to let it go to waste so we finished the entire bottle.
#46 Act handsome/cool photo of him.
#47 Our balcony view. Sadly, only 10% visible cos all obstructed by trees but still a very cool place to hang out and relax.
#49 The toilet, nothing special and relatively clean oso.
#52 Final pic of us before exiting from the resort.
#53 Goodbye shot of the attap houses. But we will be back agains cos we still got another 2D1N stay!!!!!!!11
And I booked a spa session in advance. For duration of 2 hrs 30 mins of shiokness. Free pick up from the resort somemore. Includes foot bath, steam sauna, 1 hour full bod massage and jacuzzi! #55 The sauna thingy where they wrapped you inside. Really sweat alot, boyfriend says he felt that he got detox-ed by it. -.-"
#57 With my pretty x'mas pressie! Yeah decorative ornament which may seem redundant to you but it is the meaning behind it that I treasure loads! Cos he is going to give me one every single year of the disney collection. Feels so loved! I hope that I will receive the entire collection until I got no space to put them. Hahahaha. :X
