When you are on a budget and dying to get away from Singapore, what is the next best thing you can do? Visit the neighbouring islands or perhaps, our neighbour.
Hehe, so Patrik and I went to source for coaches to get us to Genting highlands for 3d2n. We finally decided on grassland for $89 nett/pax. Super good deal cos the coach was quite comfy. We even got a free upgrade to the higher end coach for our return trip! (:
Okay, so it was not just my romantic getaway actually. It was a double date getaway. And my partner happened to be the one who went to genting together with me like, 2 years ago was none other than Fronda Ngoh. Our ignorant partners however, never visited the place for like 10 years. Tsk tsk.
Took the morning coach at 7am and reach around 3pm and we immediately check in our hotel to rest our tired bodies before heading out for lunch!

Patrik has always been an avid lover of soup and he heard of this place where they had steamboat buffet from his brother and wanted to head down to here for lunch. However, despite the recommendation, I would *not* recommend this to anyone lor!
Cos they provided us with oil, not butter and the variety is really quite limited. Flavour is bland and bah.
I gave up after eating for 10 minutes. Didn't really eat much as well and the cost? RM33++ per person, about SGD21. Super not worth it. :(
See, not much food on the bbq plate cos it is really sucky.
Hais, waste my SGD21~!!! I only changed SGD100 somemore. I really feel like killing his brother after taking the first bite. :'(
No wonder the people at the bar counter wanted us to pay first. So that we won't back out after looking at the variety of the food. Hais felt really scammed!
Okay, so that was our first hiccup. But thankfully, the rest of the journey was a goooooood one. We explored the place somemore since we just landed there.

Some stupid clown magic that was really lame. But we laughed at it all the same. Lols!!
Went to watch a movie there as well. Super cheap, like RM12?? SGD5. I kinda forgot about the title already but it was a chick flick that both Fronda and I enjoyed very much. But the guys think that it was hilarious as well so all was good. Lols! The popcorn costed only SGD1.

And so cheap! RM2.30 only. I bought like 4 of it during my stay there luh. Maybe it was a gemini thing, I don't know. But both Alvan and I (we are both geminis) couldn't resist it ttm!! Everytime I see, I will like ehhh I want, you want? Then we both just choose the biggest one and paid for it. Hahahaha.

Then I had my first experience in the casino as Patrik and I went to explore around. I hate the da xiao thingy. Confirm lose money one lor! We played RM50 on that and lost all. Went back to bacarat and won back the RM50. Then we won somemore but Patrik said double or nothing. So we ended up breaking even and go back to our hotel. Hahaha!
Second day was full of activities to the brim. We decided to buy the all-in-one package, which includes the spiderman ride, outdoor theme park, indoor theme park, bowling, snow world, rock climbing etc for RM69 each.

Had abit more time as we are waiting for Fronda and her boyfriend to get ready. It was like we gave them morning call, went to bathe, dry my hair, put on make up, call them again and they are not yet ready. ZZz.
I love my skinny boyfriend. He sponsered my trip there! Although it is not a big amount but still feel very touched as it is our first overseas trip together. :D
Okay my table is very messy. I'm a messy person. I can't stand being neat.
No idea why he made that expression but it was funny like hell. I always feel happy when he does stupid things like these to make me laugh. Or rather, spoil my picture. Lol!
Had marrybrown for breaky! Was good! I want to eat this again!!!!
SGD4 only. Fucking affordable and yet nice, totally beat the steamboat buffet hands down. I don't mind having this like everyday lor!

Our first ride!! The weather was super cold then~
Look it was so foggy cos still very early.
Eeeeew, I hate this ride! Not scary and it just makes me wanna puke. Stupid Patrik still turn the wheel so hard that I felt that I can fly out anytime. I felt so dizzy after this so much. :(
And I spotted my zodiac. It was my first touch experience as well. I know zoo got luh! But so expensive. Don't even want to take pic with it lor!
Hehe, went to the ferris wheel to survey the entire place as well! It was just like heaven. White fluffy clouds drifting past.

Most of the workers there are very slack. It was opened at 8am supposedly. We went in at 9am. But I guessed very little people still. So the rides were not fully functioned. We played goldkart, and the swing thingy and had to wait for a while like perhaps, around 11am where all the rides started to open up.
Went to dinoland next!
Alvan's permanent love bite, that came from a fungus infection. I still didn't want to believe him when he first told me. I thought he was lying through his teeth and still laughed at how bad an excuse he gave up with just to cover up the love bite his girlfriend gave him. Haahahaha!
And here Patrik is trying to protray that he was the one who gave it to him.
Our boyfriends are irritating sometimes, but cute to us.

Rested at the fountain after all the exciting rides. But to our disappointment, the airspace shot is no longer that scary ride anymore. Rumours has it that a girl's hair got caught onto the machine and her head/scalp got ripped off. Blood just spilled all over and they stopped the ride and sealed all the witnesses mouth with $$$.
Maybe it is really true. Cos it is just this lame ride now. Go up at fast speed only then come down at normal speed. Uber boring.
The corkscrew was also okayokay for us to deal with now. I prefer more exciting rides still. Hahahaha.
Played the pirate ship as well. Doesn't go way high! Even escape one is better. That was how bad it was.
Got on the bicycle water thingy as well. Cos Alvan said very expensive in Singapore. Must ride here. Lolololol.

And we cycled the waters around first world hotel.
It started to drizzle abit but thank god we already combed the entire outdoor theme park. Thus, we headed back in to the hotel for our lunch/dinner. Had pizzahut. The warm food makes it all the more delicious than it already was.
Headed back to the hotel for a wash up and to bathe as we were soaked by the dirty water while going down their version of the wet n wild ride.
Afterwhich, we went to snow world and had a hell of great fun there. It was not the activities that was fun. We made it fun by throwing snow at each other, putting the cold ice under the neck/jacket of each other and basically had a couple war. We were the first ones to enter but the last ones to leave. Lol!
It was cold in there. Like -19 degrees! Patrik was sweet enough to buy me the strawberry ear muffles which I adore since day 1 that I saw it. He thinks it is stupid but he still bought it for me. And after I wore it, he said it's cute. *shy* That is why I love him ttm.
And we hit the casino again! This time with Fronda and Alvan. Although they are not legal legal yet. They still managed to get in. :X
My base was RM20. I walked away 15 times richer.

We were all winners and we were all very happy that day.
Cannot imagine that I won more than the amount I brought to spend there. Totally LOL!
Had a hearty talk, and played cards all night long. Too bad that first world is not that sound proof, or that we are making a big din that our neighbour came knocking at 4am saying that we were too noisy. Hahah!!
Requested for late check out. Slept for a few hours only and then got up to pack and leave. I don't wanna leave! Everyday was like fun, fun and more fun. Perhaps being with the right company helps as well. Although it is just genting, this trip is by far, the best one I ever been to. And that is why, I am inspired to blog and share. Though I love bali much as well but I missed Patrik too so that is 2nd best! (:
Fooling around with my ear muffles! Last day to wear them and not look like an idiot.
So must wear it gao gao to camwhore. Wear in SG people confirm think I am siao. Even if I am siao, I won't be so siao to wear this to go outside lor. Surely will die of heat stroke first.

Patrik wanted to eat Ah Yi Bao Yu but I told him is not like we win 10k! Hahaha. Better just save and like, treat this as a free trip. Lols! I will treat him the Ah Yi Bao Yu next time. ;)
Apparently, we still had some time to spare so we allowed the guys to indulge in their own archery past time.
Okay luh, had to admit he looked quite cool shooting the arrows. He even hit the bullseye directly once and the others are all quite close to it. If it is me, maybe it won't even be on the paper lor. I'm a klutz at such stuffs.

Who says first world hotel is lousy. Other than the bad sound proof system, I think this time the hotel is very spacious leh. Or maybe cos I requested for tower two queen sized bed instead of tower one twin beds. Only downside is that there is no theme park view over there. But who cares about the view when we only wanted to sleep in the hotel and head out straight after?
Found this secret place with a nice view and the air is so cold and nice. I can totally survive here after 3 days. I used to be so afraid of the cold. I hate air con at nights but not now.
So misty! And I am jealous of him blowing the bubblegum cos I can't do it. T.T
How I wish I can stay at this gateway to heaven. Till next time. Loves!
